This month was Kim’s turn to share her story. Afterward, we had an intimate conversation as others shared what resonated with them about her journey. We talked about the limitations of the “original sin” narrative and what Christ promised when he described the Holy Spirit. Oh, and menstrual cycles, lol. We talked about the need to nurture ourselves and to rest, and give ourselves time to heal. It was a beautiful snapshot of the way storytelling gatherings can revitalize our faith.
